The world feels like it’s breaking. Sirens in the night. News filled with anger. Fear creeping into the quiet places of our lives. It’s as if wolves surround us, waiting to scatter every shred of hope.
But in the middle of it all, there is Jesus. Kneeling in the dust. His robe torn, his face marked with suffering, yet his eyes shining with a love that no darkness can extinguish.
In his arms rests a trembling lamb, fragile and afraid and yet completely safe. Against his chest, its heartbeat slows. The storm cannot touch it here.
At his side lean Golden Retrievers, glowing like sunlight, calm and faithful guardians. They are like us when we draw near to the Shepherd, choosing trust instead of fear.
This is what our souls need in these troubled times: to remember that we are not abandoned. The Shepherd’s arm is strong. His embrace never weakens. His promise still holds; “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
So when your heart trembles, picture yourself as that lamb. Rest in his arms. Breathe in his peace. Trust his love. Because Jesus is here. And he will not let go.
